Monday 25 January is/was Australia Day, so who are your favourite Australian authors?
I have a lot of favourite Christian authors who happen to be Australian. Here are a few:
- Kat Colmer: you can’t beat the teenage angst in Can’t Beat the Chemistry!
- Christine Dillon: Grace in Strange Disguise is the excellent beginning to a strong women’s fiction series.
- Elaine Fraser: thought-provoking Young Adult fiction that tackles serious issues
- Carolyn Miller: her Regency Brides are perfect for Pride and Prejudice fans
- David Rawlings: Worldbending fiction like The Baggage Handler that gets you thinking …
- Meredith Resce: especially her new Luella Linley romances 🙂
- Kristen Young: Apprentice is a brilliant Young Adult debut.
(In case you’re wondering, I have restricted my recommendations to books published in the last couple of years. If I didn’t restrict myself, I’d be here all day!)
Cecily Paterson’s books aren’t written for me but they are excellent for the 9-13 year old age group (girls). I especially like her trilogy about Jazmine – Invisible/Invincible/Being Jazmine.
Yes, love Kristen Youngs debut ‘Apprentice’ and Carolyn Miller’s stories. Also, enjoyed Jo-Anne Bertelsen’s first series of novels.
